We started in the balancing industry as a speed shop for race cars, so automotive engine service is the foundation of our company. One of our founding partners balanced a driver’s engine, and that customer worked in an industrial plant where he had a vibration in his equipment. He asked us to assess and address the vibration before it created significant problems. At that moment we perceived a larger scale need for solving vibration problems in all industries that rely on rotating equipment. But, it all started with cars.
We work on internal or external balancing of crank shafts. We match balance the rods and pistons, come up with the bob weight and then spin the crank. That will tell us the level of imbalance, and then we can add or remove weight accordingly. This process increases horsepower and RPM. It protects longevity of the motor because it reduces wear and tear on bearings. Our customers are hobbyists, dragsters, and engine builders from all over the country. We even service specialty engines such as marine engines, tractors, and race-car performance engines. We have pick-up and delivery service available in certain areas, and our estimated turnaround time is 5-10 days.
Parts required for this service include:
- Crank shafts
- Piston and pin off the rods
- Set of rings
- Set of rod bearings
- Fly wheel and damper
Brands we service include but are not limited to:
- Harley Davidson
At House of Balance, we prioritize customer service. While many companies lay claim to that statement, we embody it. We take a lean and mean approach to running our business, with a small team of experts that we trust for optimal quality control. Any new hire goes through an apprenticeship, then specialized training, then certification. Our owners are working owners. We value our work, and we like getting our hands dirty.
